Dollar Point neighborhood and Dollar Point Association (DPA) HOA

The Dollar Point neighborhood sits on Lake Tahoe’s north shore, just three miles east of Tahoe City. A majority of the homes in this neighborhood are located on quiet, wide streets and many enjoy partial or panoramic lake views. The neighborhood connects with the regional bikes paths so you can walk or bike to Tahoe City and, in the winter time, Tahoe XC is right next door. And, did you know that in March 2020 Dollar Point became the third community in the Lake Tahoe basin to be Firewise USA certified?

Among the 560+ residential parcels, 39 are lakefront properties. That being said, about 40% of the homes in the neighborhood have some sort of view of the lake. The optional Dollar Point Association’s two locations for members are designed to add a resort-style experience to your property ownership.

Dollar Point Highlights

Location: The neighborhood is located three miles east of Tahoe City on Lake Tahoe’s northwest shore.

Home/Property Types: The Dollar Point neighborhood tends to be a high-end area and has a combination of luxury properties, mountain-style properties and some classic Tahoe cabins. The views vary between neighborhood/woods views to partial lake views to full panoramic views of Lake Tahoe. The neighborhood is made up of single-family homes.

Neighborhood Highlights: The Dollar Point neighborhood is three miles from Tahoe City, neighbors with Tahoe XC, offers easy access to Palisades Tahoe, Northstar and Homewood, and property owners are offered amenities and private access to Lake Tahoe through the Dollar Point Association. There are also multiple golf courses in the area, great dining options and a handful of nearby State Parks to enjoy.

HOA Fees: The HOA membership is optional and is paid annually (around $1,200 per year). There is an ownership transfer fee of about $5,100 plus, if you aren’t currently a Dollar Point Association member, you will pay a one-time initiation fee somewhere in the ballpark of $25,000.
